As a student you have important opinions and a strong voice, use it here!
The Green Warriors and Office of Campus Sustainability are excited to introduce this student-led discussion series based off of the series “A Seat at the Table” created by Jack Harries’ to uplift the voices of those most affected by climate change. We will be discussing topics such as sustainable farming, air pollution, extreme weather patterns, clean energy, and much more as we follow Jack Harries through areas actively fighting climate change, such as the Maldives, South London, Cape Town, and Tsavo. “A Seat at the Table” was created before COP26 and made in partnership with Earthrise, with a continuous donation platform to fund the non-profit FUTURE STEWARDS, a global collaborative organization focused on actions to address climate change, alleviate poverty, and create social mobility in socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
This discussion series will take place every Wednesday in February and the first two weeks of March starting at 5:30pm with an in person and virtual option. This first meeting will be in Hilberry F and virtual meetings will take place on Zoom with the link being provided when you RSVP.
