Global cafe - “I, too, am America”: Reading African American art

Learn about the Black Arts Movement and works created by great African American artists in the 20th and 21st centuries during this special Global Cafe in honor of Black History Month. Join Professor Valerie Sweeney Prince of the Department of African American Studies as she discusses the themes, lines, rhythms and colors produced by artists Betye Saar, Jacob Lawrence, Kehinde Wiley, Vincent Smith, Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden, Alison Saar and Kara Walker.
