MENA+ Event: Arab American Heritage Month Hafla (Party)

The Middle Eastern North African+ Employee Association at Wayne State University is hosting a MENA+ Heritage Month Hafla (party) Event on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, from 12 – 2 PM to celebrate our diversity and culture during National Arab American Heritage Month. MENA+’s mission aims to build a sense of community by educating and celebrating our cultural richness while also sharing it with our colleagues and peers. We hope this event can connect members, promote cultural sensitivity, and foster professional connections. All staff and faculty are welcome to join and attend this event, regardless of identity.
Activities include:
- Building awareness about Arab-American culture through conversation, food, informational flyers, etc.
- Engage in fun and social conversation with colleagues about diversity
- Receiving free henna services
