Intended Audience

This event is designed specifically for pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

Following this application-based program, the targeted pharmacist participant will:

  1. Recognize the impact of bias and discrimination in pharmacy education and the potential effects on patient care
  2. Discuss strategies to integrate and recruit a diverse pool of pharmacy learners
  3. Describe the pharmacist’s role in closing the gap in health disparities to improve health equity in underserved populations

Continuing Education Credit

The Detroit Medical Center Department of Pharmacy Services is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Pharmacists who attend the live virtual activity and complete the online course evaluations will be awarded 1 hour (0.1 CEU) of continuing pharmacy education credit after providing their NABP e-Profile number and four-digit birthdate within 60 days of the live activity date.  A Statement of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit will be available through CPE Monitor within 48 hours of completion and submission of evaluations.
