The ReBUILDetroit Program is hosts the documentary film, "Picture A Scientist," looks at the challenges faced by three female scientists: Professor Nancy Hopkins, an MIT biology professor who fought for gender equality with respect to salaries and lab space for faculty; Geologist Professor Jane Willenbring recounts her stories of sexual harassment while she was in graduate school and the outcome of the complaint she filed; and Professor Burks, an African American chemistry professor, discusses incidents of discrimination that she has experienced and how she is working to increase awareness.
