Title: Spectral Iwasawa theory

Abstract:  We discuss how to associate p-1 characteristic polynomials to the p-complete periodic complex K-theory of finite spectra using Iwasawa theory. We then obtain a spectral version of the Iwasawa Main Conjecture by showing that the special values of these characteristic polynomials recover the K(1)-local stable homotopy groups of the Spanier-Whitehead dual of finite spectra. All necessary background in Iwasawa theory will be provided.
