Title:  The rho-free part of the cohomology of R-motivic A(2)

Abstract: C-motivic homotopy has been used successfully to compute stable homotopy groups of spheres. In particular, the homotopy of the C-motivic modular forms spectrum detects periodic patterns in C-motivic homotopy. A logical next step is to make similar computations in R-motivic homotopy. While the C-motivic modular forms spectrum has been proven to exist, the existence of an R-motivic analog has neither been proven nor disproven. Nevertheless, computing its Adams E_2-page ought to shed some light on this question and on the structure of R-motivic homotopy. In this talk, we will compute a certain quotient of this E_2-page using a Bockstein spectral sequence whose input is the Adams E_2-page of the C-motivic modular forms spectrum.
