Mini Symposium on Metabolism and Systems Biology and Neurosciences
This event is in the past.
Noon to 3 p.m.
All WSU School of Medicine faculty, students, postdocs and trainees are invited to attend a mini symposium, which includes a free pizza lunch, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from noon to 2 p.m. Scott Hall's Blue Lecture Hall (please note the location change).
This inaugural event will focus on the thematic areas of metabolism and systems biology and neurosciences. There will be five research presentations and a presentation by the Director of the Proteomics Core Facility.
Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for networking and discussions with Dean Wael Sakr, the speakers, and all participants from 2 to 3 p.m.
This is part of a new initiative launched by the dean with the goal to:
- Enhance collaborations and promote joint grant applications
- Provide seed funding for innovative and collaborative projects
- Host quarterly research mini symposia to foster dialogue across disciplines with an informal platform to learn about our colleagues’ research
This is a free event, but registration is required for the pizza lunch.
