Todd Wolynn, M.D., FAAP, the executive director of the Trusted Messenger Program, invites guests to learn more about utilizing best practices to help people reach evidence-based health decisions.

Abstract:

In today's complex healthcare environment, effective communication about immunizations has never been more crucial. Dr. Wolynn will share evidence-based strategies and practical tools for healthcare providers to enhance vaccine confidence and communication with patients. Drawing from his extensive background, Dr. Wolynn will discuss best practices for helping individuals make informed, evidence-based health decisions. 

Biography:

A Vaccination Advocate for more than 30 years, Wolynn's background includes work as a clinical vaccine researcher, immunizing pediatrician and immunization confidence & communication researcher. His work has been covered in the LA Times, NYT Science Times, the Guardian, and a range of print, digital, podcast and documentary media formats. The 2022 documentary “Virulent: The Vaccine War”, highlighting his efforts addressing eroding vaccine confidence. In October 2022 Dr. Wolynn received the American Academy of Pediatrics Holyroyd-Sheery Award for outstanding media and public health work in the areas of advocacy, legislation, research, and professional & public education, and communication.
