2025 FIRST Robotics Competition
This event is in the past.
Wayne State University's College of Engineering and FIRST in Michigan are hosting a robotics competition featuring 40 Metro Detroit high schools.
The FIRST Robotics Competition showcases 40 teams of 14-18 year-olds who display their engineering, business, marketing, etc. prowess in a 2-day game for an opportunity to advance as far as a global competition as well as other awards and scholarship opportunities. FIRST is a sport where all participants Go Pro!
From January through February, students across Michigan are being challenged to design, build, and program robots while also creating a team identity, raising funds, honing teamwork skills and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community. They will then showcase their skills as our future engineers, designers, and leaders at District events across Michigan throughout March.
Opening ceremonies start at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 14, and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 15; the venue will open at 8 a.m. each day.
