This discussion will explore issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in higher education through Black faculty and staff perspectives. Participants will discuss the impact of systemic barriers, implicit bias, and underrepresentation on their academic and professional journeys. Drawing upon lived experiences and shared aspirations, the conversation will highlight the challenges and emerging opportunities to advance Black scholarship, leadership, and student success. Attendees can expect an open dialogue that underscores the importance of supportive institutional structures, culturally responsive initiatives, and collaborative partnerships in shaping more equitable pathways in the academy.
