Courageous Conversations: Reading into the Roots of Justice - Session #3
As part of our 90th Anniversary Call to Action, the Wayne State University School of Social Work is excited to host the third and final session of our virtual book club series, Courageous Conversations: Reading into the Roots of Justice. This series will explore the roots of the social work profession through the lens of the Progressive Era, a time of sweeping change, bold ideas, and complex contradictions.
In our third and final session, we’ll turn inward to reflect on what these conversations mean for us as a the WSU School of Social Work. How are we uniquely positioned to meet the challenges of today and how can we evolve our teaching, research, and practice to lead change? Together, we’ll consider how our school can stay rooted in student needs while advancing a bold agenda for social and community transformation.
Let’s learn from the past to reimagine our future, one courageous conversation at a time.
