Title: #ActuaryLife

Abstract: When I was a math student at Wayne State University I heard many people say they were thinking about becoming ________ or maybe an actuary.  I was in that boat also, and now I am an actuary.  I will be holding a discussion to answer questions around what a career as an actuary is really like.  In my presentation we will address the good, the bad, and the ugly of the career.  I will also be discussing how math works in the real world, pay ranges, perks of analytical fields, and other related topics.  Even if you are not thinking of becoming an actuary, I think you could benefit from a discussion of what a job in a math related field could look like.  I love my job and my company and look forward to sharing.
