Title: Medical Physics:  fight cancer with math, physics, coding, and engineering.

Abstract: This talk is an overview of medical physics, more specifically in the radiation therapy, imaging, education and career developments.  We will first go through several technique topics including optimization algorithm for treatment planning; proton beam physics; imaging acquisition and reconstruction; new treatment & imaging techniques under development.  Then go through the medical physics education as well as training requirements. At last, we will discuss about the medical physics career development. Students are welcome to join the discussion.
