Working Happy: How to survive burnout and find your work/life synergy
In this talk, we will explore the phenomenon of burnout and discuss practical strategies for not only surviving but thriving in today’s demanding healthcare environment. Burnout affects individuals across various professions, leading to feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and reduced effectiveness in both personal and professional life. Drawing from research in psychology, neuroscience, and organizational behavior, we will delve into the factors contributing to burnout and examine how work-life synergy can play a crucial role in mitigating its effects.

Roger Kapoor, MD MBA FAAD
Roger Kapoor is the Senior Vice President of Beloit Health System, a non-profit healthcare corporation serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) degree from The George Washington University, DC, his internal medicine training at Stanford University, CA and his dermatology training at Harvard Medical School, MA. Dr. Kapoor completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Oxford University, England. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles published in professional journals including The New England Journal of Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Kapoor was named Wisconsin’s Young Physician Leader of the Year by the Wisconsin Medical Society, one of the Top 25 Emerging Leaders in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare and a Rising Star in Healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review.
