International Opportunities for New Faculty | New Faculty Seminar Series
Learn about international opportunities for new faculty during International Education Week, Nov. 18-22
Interested to learn how you can teach or conduct research with partners abroad through the Fulbright Scholar Program? Maybe you would like to connect your students with students at a global partner institution for a virtual cross-cultural experience? Sounds cool, but you might not know how or where to start. The Office of International Programs (OIP) team is here to help! In this virtual session at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, new faculty will learn what opportunities are available within OIP, including collaborative online international learning (COIL) projects and ways to globalize courses and programs.
The presenters will also explain opportunities such as faculty-led study abroad programs and the Fulbright program and application process. This special seminar takes place during International Education Week (Nov. 18-22), a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education, which highlights the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Wayne State has partnerships with more than 150 institutions around the world, and the OIP team is ready to support your activities abroad!
