Go Out and Love Science (#GOALS)
This event is in the past.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Ascension Foundation for Health Equity are partnering to host more than 300 Detroit middle school students to the WSU medical campus on Thursday, April 4.
Ascension's #GOALS (Go Out And Learn Science) initiative is a one-day event designed to expose 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to a potential future in healthcare through hands-on activities and small group interaction with a diverse group of medical students and professionals.
The day is structured like a typical school day, with students moving between activities every 30 minutes, which are hosted by medical students and professionals. The middle school participants are engaged and encouraged to consider what could be possible in the future if they study science today.
