American Romanian Festival, From the Country Side: Chamber Orchestra Works by Silvestri, Taranu, McTee, and Copland featuring the WSU Chamber Orchestra.

From the Country Side is a concert presenting two Romanian and two American composers. ┼ó─âranu's work is evocative of rhythms and melodies from the Romanian folk tradition.  The 100 year celebration of Dinu Lipatti continues with his work for two solo pianos and string orchestra featuring Robert Conway and Kazimierz Brzozowski as the soloists.  Cindy McTee’s Adagio  features the beautiful, passionate and powerful sound of the string orchestra.  Copland’s much loved Appalachian Springs concludes the concert. There will be introductory remarks and slides regarding each composer.
