Wayne State University Department of Music Opera Workshop presents "Villains, Vixens and Trickery" to conclude its 2017-2018 season. "Villains, Vixens and Trickery" is a multi-act theatrical entertainment that combines music, dance and, of course, the drama of opera. Performances will be April 13 and 14, 2018 at Schaver Musical Recital Hall. Tickets are $8/adults, $5/students. Seating is limited. Groups are welcome but should make arrangements before arrival. Otherwise tickets are available at the door on a first come, first served basis.

Opera Workshop at Wayne State University nurtures gifted young singers by providing them with unparalleled experiences to grow as performers and prepare for professional careers in opera.

The program is an intensive semester-long course in which artists focus on the development of core performance skills, including role study, repertoire and diction study, acting, stage movement, and musical coaching, culminating in an Opera Scenes or full-length opera performances.
