Occupational Therapy: 80th Anniversary Celebration Open House
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Celebrating 80 years of the Occupational Therapy Program at Wayne State University, our Applebaum College of Health Sciences OT program started in 1944; the program is one of the first in the country and one of the oldest in the state of Michigan, with the overall profession of Occupational Therapy being 109 years old. We must highlight this milestone in our program by recognizing the faculty leaders who’ve served and contributed to its growth over the decades, acknowledging the alumni who’ve continued to volunteer their time and industry knowledge to the development of the program, and students who continue to lead the way for the next generation of incoming students behind them. We’ll celebrate the program's transition from a Master's to a Doctorate.
In light of this new milestone accomplishment, we're inviting alumni, students, preceptors, and members of the Occupational Therapy community to attend the 80th-year open house celebration!
Tour our state-of-the-art Occupational Therapy facilities, speak to current students, learn more about our new Occupational Therapy Doctorate program, and hear from the Program Director. The evening will conclude with a small reception, light appetizers, and refreshments to be served! There will also be a raffle conducted at the networking reception.
