The Cardiovascular Research Institute will host the first of three WSU-wide, BEST-sponsored career development events focused on career options and opportunities in the cardiovascular sciences on May 11. To address this first theme – the scientist-entrepreneur – Michael Wider, Ph.D., principal of Regulated Device Consulting LLC and assistant professor (adjunct) of the WSU Department of Physiology. All trainees, faculty and staff are welcome to attend Dr. Wider’s seminar, “My Career Journey: From Academia to Industry and Back Again,” from noon to 1 p.m. in Scott Hall’s Room 2268. The lecture will be followed by an interactive round-table discussion and lunch for trainees only.
