We cordially invite you to join us for this program dedicated to developing an effective science-to-practice network addressing urban infrastructure. During this seminar, Michael F. Molnar, NIST Chief Manufacturing Officer, will discuss another successful science-to-practice network as we consider a model and framework for an emerging state and national urban water network.

Presenter Mike Molnar is the founding director of the Office of Advanced Manufacturing (OAM) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this capacity he is responsible for NIST extramural advanced manufacturing programs and liaison to industry and academia. Mike is also the founding director of the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office (AMNPO), an interagency team with core staff hosted at NIST. This interagency team works to coordinate federal activities in advanced manufacturing, and is the Congressionally designated National Program Office for Manufacturing USA – the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation.

This seminar is part of the Infrastructure Network for Water Workshop Series coordinated by the University Research Corridor (URC), an alliance of Wayne State University, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan.  The URC is focused on increasing economic prosperity and connecting Michigan to the world.

The Infrastructure Network for Water, or IN-Water, is a URC collaborative project focused on water infrastructure.  This is the third in a series of seminars dedicated to looking at how Michigan can create a more effective science-to-practice network around national urban infrastructure.
