With great pleasure, we announce that Wayne State University will be hosting the 2017 Michigan Regional Postdoctoral Symposium on Friday, September 22nd 2017 from 8:30 am - 4:15 pm at the WSU Student Center Ballroom.

We hope to see great research from Postdoctoral Scholars from all over Michigan. Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Van Andel Research Institute, and Wayne State University are among the Universities/Institutes attending.

The Symposium will offer Professional Development Seminars and great networking opportunities for all attendees. Breakfast and lunch will be included for all participants.

We are now accepting abstracts of late-breaking, high impact, and high-quality research from every field representing all Postdoctoral Scholars.  We are looking forward to seeing outstanding posters and 3 minute presentations from various disciplines.

The deadline for abstract submission is Sunday, August 6, 2017, at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. To submit an abstract, authors must complete the online form provided below:

https://forms.wayne.edu/593ed54ebafe5/

When submitting your abstract, please let us know if you would like to be considered for a 3-minute (3MT) presentation at the research symposium.  We will select a few Postdocs to give 3MT presentations about their research; it’s a unique way to prepare for your elevator pitch. There will be awards for posters and 3MT presentations. If you have any questions about abstract or 3MT presentation submission, please don't hesitate to contact Amy or Stefanie (MIpostdoc@gmail.com).

We look forward to seeing all of you at the symposium this year!
