Call for PPE donations for COVID-19 screenings
This event is in the past.
As you know, there is a nationwide need for many of the supplies and materials required to address the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for individuals at Wayne State and in the City of Detroit that are involved in health care, testing and public service.
Many of our research laboratories may have PPE as part of their operations. I am reaching out to you to ask for any unused PPE materials that you may be able to provide from laboratory supplies you have on hand as one step to address the need in this area. I could replace them for your laboratory at a later date as the supply chain ramps up across the country.
Such PPE items include the following:
- Disposable gowns
- Disposable gloves
- N-95 respirators
- Surgical masks
- Goggles
- Face shields
If you have any of these items, please fill out the form on this event posting with the information about items you have that can be donated. Julie O'Connor (julie.oconnor@wayne.edu) will be in touch with you this week regarding securing these items form you.
Thank you for your willingness to help protect the members of our medical community during this difficult time.
