Colloquium: Creating a GPS for Stress
This event is in the past.
The Institute of Geronotology (IOG) fall 2020 Research Colloquia & Professional Development Series is pleased to present:
Creating a GPS for Stress: Prevention, Stress Management, and Burnout
Denise Wunderlich, PhD & Jennifer Bohanon, MA
This Zoom workshop on stress will begin with a discussion of different types of stressors that impact graduate students. We will then examine how stress can be viewed on a continuum from prevention to burnout and how one’s culture and identity influences the continuum. This examination will be followed by exploration of common stress prevention and stress management strategies as well as barriers. To wrap up, each workshop participant will have time to develop an individualized stress management plan for one of their identified stressors.
