2022 Graduate Research Symposium
This event is in the past.
The Graduate Research Symposium (GRS) is the Graduate School's signature event dedicated to the research achievements of Wayne State's Ph.D. students and postdoc community.
Themes for the 2022 GRS will include:
- COVID-19 and related issues
- Urban social disparities
- Climate crisis and environmental sustainability
The 2022 GRS will be entirely virtual, March 8 - 10, 2022.
Participating researchers will present either platform presentations or poster presentations.
Platform presentations are individual, one-at-a-time talks that may be no longer than six minutes in length, plus two minutes for question and answer.
Poster presentations are done via breakout rooms and are 15 minutes in length. Because of the vast number of posters presented simultaneously, researchers will repeat their posters over the course of the one-hour agenda session.
Three-Minute Thesis returns in 2022
The Graduate School is excited to announce the return of the internationally acclaimed Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. It challenges students to consolidate ideas and discoveries so they can be presented concisely to a non-specialist audience.
