The office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to offer the Research Development seminar series for WSU faculty, chairs & directors, postdoctoral trainees & graduate students, and administrators. Seminars are free but registration is required.

In conjunction with the Technology Commercialization Team and the Office of Business Innovation, this training webinar, Small Business Innovation Research Program, will take place Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

You have a great technological idea based on your research that is going to benefit mankind. You have disclosed your technology to the University, intellectual protection has been filed, and are seeking funding to develop a product based on the technology. How do you fund the work if beyond an R01? Friends, family, social media, angel funding? One avenue might be a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant. These are federal programs offered by 12 Federal Agencies that might be an option. Make plans to attend the seminar to learn more about the programs, how they might be a funding source, and general information on developing your product.

Note: It is recommended that you attend this presentation if you plan on submitting a proposal for an SBIR award for September 5th.

Please click the RSVP above; make sure your WSU email or AccessID is correct, and you will be sent a link for the webinar prior to the event date.
