Title:  On the multiplicativity of the Euler characteristic.

Abstract: It is classical that the Euler characteristic is multiplicative for fibrations of homotopy finite spaces.
However, when the spaces of the fibration are merely finitely dominated,  it was not clear until very recently whether a similar result holds, since in the finitely dominated case one cannot appeal to an induction on a cell structure for the base space of the fibration.

In my talk I will show that the Euler characteristic is indeed multiplicative for fibrations of finitely dominated spaces. There are in fact two proofs, (each surprisingly non-trivial).

This is joint work with Cary Malkiewich and Maxim Ramzi.
