Professor José Enrique García Ramos

Univ. of Huelva

In this talk, I will dive into the relationship between economy and CO2 emissions, i.e., the Kaya identity, then I will explain how to extract the contribution from the different "driving forces" using the so-called Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI). Finally, I will present the Granger causality analysis and a procedure to perform the forecast of CO2 emissions, designing an economic scenario. I will try to connect all the different concepts with possible physics applications. I will focus on the world six major CO2 emitters.
