To all SIS students interested in archives, the Wayne State Chapter of the Society of American Archivists will be hosting a special presentation and the final meeting of the semester next Monday, December 17 at 5:30 in Kresge 302

Kelly Krish will be presenting on the health and safety of archivists. She currently serves as a Preventative Conservation Specialist at the Image Permanence Institute in Rochester, New York. She is a trained conservator who has worked on conservation projects around the world. She currently focuses on preventative measures and advises institutions, including the Walter P. Reuther Library, on best practices. This past summer, she volunteered her time assisting with the Houghton County Historical Society assistance project.

The SAA chapter meeting will immediately follow the presentation. The agenda will include project updates as well as planning meetings and events for the next semester. Those who cannot join in person may join online via: https://canvas.wayne.edu/courses/35228/conferences
