Sample some of our newest books from the University Libraries' Juvenile Collection
This event is in the past.
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Did you know Wayne State is home to an extensive collection of physical and digital materials for young people?
On Nov. 14, drop by the UGL atrium anytime from 1-3 p.m. for a book tasting that will allow you to peruse our new books, check them out and enjoy some light snacks while you browse. This collection provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and researchers studying literature, education, child development, and related fields to become familiar with some of the best titles in juvenile literature. Many of these new books are part of the Millicent A. Wills Collection of Urban Ethnic Materials for Young People, a special collection dedicated to books that deal with experiences of urban life and ethnic diversity.
Can’t join us for the event? Look for e-books in our online catalog, browse the physical collection on the fourth floor of the Purdy/Kresge Library, or learn more about children’s literature in our newly updated Research Guide!
