Introduction to Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

The Wayne State University School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education is excited to host Grand Valley Psychology Associate Professor - Clinical/Personality/Interpersonal Relationships Mikhila Wildey, PhD for this workshop titled "Introduction to Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy".
This course will provide an overview of couples therapy as a treatment, including but not limited to differences between couples therapy and individual therapy, assessment within couples therapy, common interventions and treatment modalities for couples therapy, and how to navigate challenges that may arise through couples therapy. In addition, this course will also provide an overview of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which is one of the prominent interventions used that is evidence based.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attendees can obtain 3 social work CECH upon completion of the training and payment receipt. Attendees must attend the entire event. A CECH certificate will be emailed within 7 - 10 business days after the event. Learn about more upcoming events here.
