Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Social Work Practice

This two-hour virtual workshop hosted by the Wayne State University School of Social Work Office of Praacticum Education is specially designed for social work practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding and application of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in their practice. Through engaging discussions, and interactive activities, participants will explore key concepts and strategies for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work with diverse populations with keynote speaker Christina Perkins, MSW, founder of Knowledge Consulting Services.
The workshop will cover topics such as identifying and addressing biases, creating inclusive environments, and advocating for social justice in social work practice. Participants will leave with practical tools and actionable steps to enhance their practice and better serve clients from diverse backgrounds. This workshop is suitable for social work practitioners at all levels of experience.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attendees can obtain 2 social work CECH for FREE upon completion of the training and passing of the post-training quiz. Attendees must attend the entire event. A CECH certificate will be emailed within 7 - 10 business days after the event.
