The Wayne State University School of Social Work and Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development are proud to welcome Charles Wilson, MSSW, Senior Director of the Chadwick Center for Children and Families and the Sam and Rose Stein Endowed Chair in Child Protection at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego as keynote speaker on Thursday, November 10, 2016 for the 29th annual Edith Harris Endowed Memorial Lecture. From 1 to 3 p.m. in the Community Arts Auditorium. Mr. Wilson will present "Building Trauma Informed Systemsin Child Welfare & Beyond" which will focus on trauma informed child welfare, traumatic stress in children and the essential elements of a trauma informed system.

This free event is open to the students, alumni, faculty, staff, community partners, and the public. Two continuing education credit hours for a fee of $10 are available. No pre-registration is necessary. Additionally we will also track student attendance at the lecture for faculty.
