Transition to Indepence (TIP) Wayne State in partnership with LIVE Bea-U-Tifully are hosting the Young Women InPowerED Expo. This free event* is a way for our community to InPower (empower) young women (16-21) from at-risk populations (foster youth, homeless, victims of human trafficking, juvenile justice) with information, resources, speakers, pampering, and entertainment. Topics of focus include, Beauty, Health, Identity, Finances, and most importantly Education. We would like to give these young women hope and inspire them to pursue higher education by providing the resources necessary to make their dream into a reality.
Donations are being requested of all support staff and all other attendees that are not at-risk. All proceeds will support TIP Wayne State students and are tax-exempt.
Keynote speakers: Jacqueline Wilson, Carolyn Clifford and Gail Perry-Mason.
Event registration will close May 15th! More Info and to register visit the Transition to Independence website here.
