The Wayne State University School of Social Work and Law School are excited to host Holistic Defense Unplugged, an informal social gathering for current and prospective students, as well as supervisors from the affiliated field agencies.
Holistic Defense – also referred to as community orientated or comprehensive defense is a term used to illustrate an innovative and effective method of legal representation that employs an interdisciplinary team that considers both the individual and community needs when working with a person charged with a criminal offense. Learn more about the WSU Holistic Defense Course Series here.
Attendees will hear from current students as they share their experiences. Prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about the program and build connections with the field agencies in a causal, relaxed environment.
Appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Attendees are welcome to purchase other food and drink at their own expense. Attendees can come and go as they please (no speeches or presentations), however they are welcome to stay longer than 6 pm.
