This briefing will highlight MENA population results from the 2020 Census Bureau, including specific National & Ethnic groups from the MENA classification. A brief background on the development and coding of MENA responses will be discussed. Topics such as the size and geographic distribution of the MENA population will be highlighted along with several Census reports and data visuals followed by an extensive 'Question and an Answer' session with key experts from the Census Bureau. In addition, an update on the Office Management and Budget's proposed revisions to the current Ethnicity and race collection standards, including the possible addition of a separate MENA category, will also be provided.
All faculty, staff, students, and community members are welcome to attend. Refreshments and parking (Lot 31) will be provided.
