On Being "Dumped"



  1. Identify factors for a successful and unsuccessful psychotherapy in therapists, patients, and relationships.
  2. Identify motivations for patients to prematurely terminate therapy.
  3. Describe therapeutic rupture and ways to repair it.
  4. Describe ways in which a therapist reacts to premature or unilateral termination and ways to process it.
