“To Tweet or Not Tweet?

The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health”

 

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the relevance of social media to mental health and illness, specifically anxiety disorders and depressive disorders.
  2. Quantify the potential positive and negative effects of social media use.
  3. Integrate questions about social media use into a standard psychiatric evaluation, and provide recommendations to patients on social media use.
