Movies in Medical Education: "13th"
This event is in the past.
RSVP is closed.
Movies in Medical Education (MIME), a new student organization dedicated to exploring medical topics and societal issues through film, will be hosting our FIRST event this Friday, February 12th from 5 -7 p.m.
Our goal is to engage the student body at Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM) and facilitate respectful discussion on topics in medicine both in and beyond the traditional curriculum.
We are honored to have the Black Medical Association (BMA) co-host this first screening with us during Black History Month! Join us as we (virtually) watch “13th”, directed by Ava DuVernay, followed by a 30-minute discussion about the prison-industrial complex and racial inequality in the U.S.
All are welcome to join!
