This event is in the past.
MedFlix: Movies in Medical Education and Detroit vs. Addiction invite all students, faculty, staff, and alumni to a screening of FOUR GOOD DAYS.
Nov. 5, 2021 from 5 - 7 p.m.
Rodrigo García’s, FOUR GOOD DAYS, is an American drama film, based on a true story, about a young addict who tries to stay clean while living with her mother for the next four days.
FOUR GOOD DAYS is a gut wrenching in-depth examination of addiction, and the strain it can put on relationships. The film offers an intimate portrait of the agony experienced by millions impacted by the opioid crisis. The film lends the viewer a glimpse of understanding surrounding drug dependency, mental illness and the journey to recovery.
After the film, we’ll engage in a discussion with speakers who specialize in the areas of addiction and recovery. We’re honored to co-host this movie with Detroit vs. Addiction, who encourage the initiation maintenance of opioid addiction treatment by equipping the community with readily available resources in the metro Detroit area.
Two hours credits for service learning or community engagement elective will be offered.
