Young Breast Cancer Symposium

Co-sponsored by the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, the symposium will feature keynote speaker Catalina Lawsin, Ph.D. a licensed clinical psychologist.
The symposium is aimed at meeting the needs of both health care providers and those experiencing cancer. Topics include Fertility/Reproductive Concerns for the Young Cancer Survivor, Hope for Financial Toxicity, Diet Considerations After Cancer, Cancer Myths, When Cancer is Hereditary: Why it is Important to Know and What You Can Do, Reclaiming Sexuality After Cancer, and Medical Care for Post-Treatment Survivors.
The symposium will be offered in a hybrid format, with a virtual option via Zoom and in-person meetings at Gilda's Club Metro Detroit locations in Royal Oak, St. Clair Shores and Detroit.
