"Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorder: Diagnostic and Treatment Challenges and Strategies"

Dr. Gerodimos -

"Violence Risk Assessment in Youth"

 

Objectives: 

Dr. Brinjikji - 

1. Identify challenges related to the clinical diagnosis of attention-deficit hypreactivity disorder when co-morbid with substance use disorder. 

2.  Outline pharmacotherapy and behavioral interventions used to treat individuals with co-occurring disorders.

3.  Analyze the risk of untreated attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and the development of future substance use. 

Dr. Gerodimos - 

1.  Discuss pertinent epidemiology, risks, and trends of youth aggression and violence.

2.  Describe informal and formal violence risk assessment validated for youth.

3. Utilize clinical case examples to present intervention planning.
