We are thrilled to announce that the Discovery to Cure High School Internship Program, an NIH-funded Research Education Program, is now accepting applications for the summer of 2025! The program is hosted at the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development within the School of Medicine at Wayne State University.

This program offers an incredible opportunity for high school students to dive into the world of biomedical research. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists by providing a high-quality, hands-on life science research experience.
Program Highlights:
  • Personalized Mentorship: Students will work closely with a postdoctoral fellow, graduate student, or research technician.
  • Independent Projects: Over the course of eight weeks, students will learn cutting-edge research techniques and complete an independent research project.
  • Eligibility: Participants must be at least 16 years old, have completed their junior year, and demonstrate the ability to excel in this intensive program.

To learn more, we invite you and your students to attend our Open House on Friday, March 14, 2025. This is a great chance to explore the program, ask questions, and meet our team.
