SOM Thematic Research presents "Immunology, Inflammation and Infectious Disease” and "Oncology"
11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All WSU School of Medicine faculty, students, postdocs, and trainees are invited to participate in the second mini symposium scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Blue Lecture Hall, Scott Hall. A complimentary pizza lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
The focus of this mini symposium will be on the thematic areas of Immunology, Inflammation & Infectious Disease and Oncology. The program will include five research presentations, in addition to a presentation delivered by the Director of the Microscopy, Imaging, and Cytometry Resources Core. An announcement regarding seed funding opportunities will also be made during the event.
Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in networking and discussions with Dean Sakr, the speakers, and all other participants from 2 to 3 p.m.
This is part of a new initiative launched by the dean with the goal to:
- Enhance collaborations and promote joint grant applications
- Provide seed funding for innovative and collaborative projects
- Host quarterly research mini symposia to foster dialogue across disciplines with an informal platform to learn about our colleagues’ research
This is a free event, but registration is required for the pizza lunch.
