This briefing will discuss the Census Bureau's research efforts on the MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) category for the last decade, including classification, coding and expert feedback. Topics such as internal and external outreach, on-going MENA research at the Census, and upcoming Census data products will also be discussed. In addition, the Office Management and Budget's proposed revisions to the current Ethnicity and race collection standards, including the possible addition of a separate MENA category, will also be highlighted.
All faculty, staff, students, and community members are welcome to attend. Refreshments and parking (Lot 31) will be provided.
