Ready to feel the love? Join the Writers Guild of Wayne State University for a night of poetry celebrating love in every form, whether it be platonic, romantic, familial, or self-oriented on February 10th, 2024 from 5 PM-9 PM. We will begin with a craft session featuring smooth jazz music from 5 PM to 7 PM, wherein we will work on pieces of poetry or prose together surrounding the topic of love. Afterwards, at 7 PM we will have an open mic for those who would like to share their pieces. Pre-prepared work is also allowed, and attending the craft session is not required to participate in the open mic portion. Duo poetic performances are also permitted. We ask that everyone keep their work under five minutes! 

First time at an open mic? This is a perfect opportunity for beginners as the vast majority of participants will be inexperienced. This event is a No-Judgement Zone. Feel free to also bring guests!
