You are cordially invited to the 2024 School of Information Sciences Annual Alumni Recognition Award Ceremony.
Join us as we celebrate our colleagues and the outstanding accomplishments of the School of Information Sciences community during this special annual recognition event.
Our guest speaker will be 2024 Distinguished Alumna Award recipient Erin Schmandt, Director of the Caro Area District Library. Facing book challenges in her community, Erin and her staff stood up for readers’ rights and pushed back against censorship. Erin will share her story, discuss how she addressed media attention and provide timely insights for library professionals facing similar situations.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the new School of Information Sciences Dean Paul Bracke and congratulate this year’s recipients of the Patricia B. Knapp and Professional Service Awards.
